Voter Support

Register now for the 2008 election!

All the experts advise us that every voter should re-register for every election cycle, particularly if you have changed your address since you last voted. Many people who registered in 2004 or 2006 need to register again, as their registration has run out. You can get registration forms and help from are Voting Committe Chair, Mary Stewart Burgher and through the US Embassy.

Or you can register online with the non-partisan Overseas Vote Foundation (http://www.overseasvotefoundation.org/) registration wizard (RAVA).

If you wish to vote in the February state primaries (in AL, AR, AK, CA, CT, DE, GA, IL, LA, MD, MI, NJ, NM, NY, OK, TN, UT, VA, WA, WI) you need to register now. If you have never listed a party preference on the FPCA before, you must submit a new one, with a party name clearly written/printed. If the requested primary ballot doesn’t arrive in good time, contact the Federal Voting Assistance Program (FVAP), using their toll-free numbers (http://www.fvap.gov/services/tollfree.html). They are great trouble-shooters.

Philanthropic Activities

Community Service

We hold an annual Holiday Bazaar which is a combination flea market, homemade crafts & baked foods, as well as outside vendors. The proceeds from this event are donated through our awards program.

We have three awards:

* Philanthropy Award which goes to a Danish charity (given every year).

* Scholarship Award for Danish graduate female students who attend school in the US (award given bi-annually).

* Cultural Award to Americans that are contributing to the cultural life of Denmark (award given tri-annually).
